Arts Nest - Performance
Poison Love Band presents a unique mix of acoustic Americana folk-rock, featuring lead fiddle, guitar, percussion, vocal harmonies and original songwriting. Their organic style is a dynamic blend of cultural traditions, delivered with an edge. They are based in the Upper Delaware River Valley and their music reflects the spirit of the rural landscape. The band is committed to community building through the shared experience of live music.
Dan Brinkerhoff (Lead Fiddle/Lead Vocals): Dan’s original fiddle style embodies the pioneering spirit of the West where he was born and raised, blending the influences of various traditions and cultures. His distinctive high voice has been compared to Neil Young.
Joanne Brinkerhoff (Guitar/Vocal Harmonies/Songwriter): Joanne's influences comes from the multi-cultural music of Brooklyn where she was born, and by the legendary music of the Catskills, where she spent summers and lived all of her adult life. Her songwriting is very personal and incorporates a blend of musical styles reminiscent of 60s and 70s country/rock/folk.
Sammy Alexander (Drums/Percussion/Bass): Sammy is a multi instrumentalist, sound engineer, BMI singer/songwriter/producer.
The Holiday Ramblers are based out of Morristown, NJ. They formed in Montauk, NY when the members met casually during summer gigs in breezy backyards and salty bars. Initially, the band performed a set built around years of their collective experience. The shows took form with not-so and familiar covers, originals from a variety of previous projects, and wide-open improvisations inspired by sunset skies and impending torrential thunderstorms. The band uses these elements to inform their compositional and studio work, which has resulted in two Eps and a single released over the last year and a half. They're currently working on another set of songs for release before summer 2024.
The Holiday Ramblers are pleased to perform for the Upper Delaware/Catskill Area music lovers and their set will be a variety of music chosen from their favorite artists and a growing catalogue of original music.

Elizabeth Rose released two singles on 2/21/23: "Maya Angelou (Songbird)" and "Burning The Candle At Both Ends." Several more releases are planned including songs from her Happiness Project, inspired by the need for uplifting during the pandemic. The first song in this project, The Set Aside Song, features musical luminaries like Steve Gadd (drums), Tony Levin (bass), brother Bob Rose (guitar), husband Don Castellow (baritone sax), Michael Blake (tenor/soprano sax), Chris Anderson (trumpet/flugelhorn) & Rusty Cloud (co-producer, arranger & keyboards).
Born into a musical family with professional connections that stretch from Name That Tune to David Letterman, Rose learned early on that singing and playing guitar wouldn’t just happen around the campfire. Blessed with a voice big enough to deliver the National Anthem for the NY Mets, the six string and keyboard skills requisite to compose and do voices for TV (Nikelodeon, PBS Kids, Discovery), film (Sex and The Other Man, starring Stanley Tucci) and theatre, she’s equipped to provide musical messages to the world.
Her one-woman musical comedy, Relative Pitch, was produced Off Broadway by NY’s renowned Cherry Lane Theatre’s Mentor Project. Past lives include touring with the Broadway cast of Beatlemania on keyboards. On the blues scene, she led her fiery guitar trio, played and recorded with blues legend, Pinetop Perkins.
Her song, I’m Too Beau’ful (For You) was featured in Elmore Magazine’s list of “Top 20 Women Empowerment Songs – Ever!” She produced and hosted Mosaic, an arts show on educational TV in the Midwest.
Her hilarious music video Leave Me Alone, was honored by Emblem Health’s Caregivers Organization and distributed to hundreds of its members. It starred her 96-year-old mother, Gerry Rose, who did comedy bits on Letterman.
